Release 26.10.112

Version Test release Production release Agent update
26.10.112 (October 2026) October 10, 2026 October 23, 2026 No agent update

Highlights

Release 26.10.112 makes every part of a request available through the REST API, adds a Status filter for exports, improves Smart Sync mapping and conditional display of properties, speeds up the Synchronize Hierarchies report, and fixes issues with OneStream extended dimensions, line-level approvals, and Migration imports.

  • REST API: an endpoint for each part of a request: header, lines, line member properties, activity log, approvers, and workflow stages
  • Export module: filter exports by status
  • Smart Sync: uses the parent member when an "As Sibling" action can't find the previous sibling
  • Member properties: show or hide properties based on member names
  • Synchronize Hierarchies report: faster for very large hierarchies
  • OneStream: Vary By member names in the activity log, plus fixes for extended dimensions and member formulas

New Features

EW-2623: REST APIs for each part of a request

Each part of a request is now available through the REST API, with one endpoint per part. Each endpoint uses GET at http(s)://<EPMWARE_URL>/service/api/request/<endpoint> and takes the Request ID (requestId) as a parameter.

Request detail Endpoint
Header information get_header
Lines get_lines
Line member properties get_line_member_props (also takes the line number)
Activity log (user comments and system and workflow notes) get_notes
Approvers (users who can act on the current workflow stage) get_wf_action_users
Workflow stages get_wf_stages

Each endpoint's page in the REST API Guide lists its parameters and response fields.

EW-2625: Status filter on the Export tab

The Export tab of the Export module has a new Status filter, so you can see which exports are running, have failed, or have completed. It's especially useful when you have many exports defined (for example, 500 or more).

Status values:

  • Working (W)
  • Success (S)
  • Error (E)

Enhancements

EW-2630: Smart Sync uses the parent member for "As Sibling" actions

When the hierarchy action in the leading application is Create Member as Sibling or Insert Member as Sibling, Smart Sync looks for the same node (parent → previous sibling) in each mapped application. Previously, if that node didn't exist, Smart Sync skipped the mapping, even when the parent existed in the mapped application. Smart Sync now uses the parent member in the mapped application instead.

Example

  • Leading application (ASO hierarchy): Total California → 94539 (shared)
  • Mapped application (BSO hierarchy): All States → 94539 (primary). The mapped application also has a "Total California" hierarchy.

A user inserts a shared instance of member 89123 under Total California in the leading application. Smart Sync looks for Total California → 94539 in the BSO application and doesn't find it, because 94539 is under All States there. Previously, Smart Sync skipped the mapping. Now it creates the shared instance under Total California, as long as member 89123 exists in the mapped application.

The set_dim_mapping_method API in the Hierarchy package uses the same logic.

EW-2641: Show or hide properties based on member names

Conditional display of properties could previously use only dimension and property names. It can now also use member names.

This applies to the Metadata Explorer and Request pages.

When a property has Conditional Display set to Y and Conditional Display SQL populated, EPMware calls the following API. If the API returns Y, the property label and value are shown; otherwise, they're hidden.

ew_hierarchy.get_prop_conditional_display
    (p_app_dimension_id   => :app_dimension_id
    ,p_app_id             => :app_id
    ,p_member_name        => :member_name_stored
    ,p_parent_member_name => :member_name
    ,p_member_id          => :member_id
    ,p_hierarchy_id       => :hierarchy_id
    ,p_prop_name          => :prop_name
    ,p_sql                => :conditional_display_sql
    )

EW-2642: Faster Synchronize Hierarchies report

The Synchronize Hierarchies report runs faster on very large hierarchies.

The report calculates the differences between the source and target applications and produces its output in Bulk Upload format, so you can create a request from it. If you provide a Request ID, the report adds the request lines to that request automatically.

EW-2645: Vary By member names in the activity log for OneStream formulas

For OneStream applications, the request activity log now shows the Vary By member names when formula properties change, for example on Account or Custom1 members.

Fixed Issues

EW-2614: Workflow Filtering list was slow and showed duplicate values

When you created a property category with WF Filtering enabled (Configuration → Property → Categories → Create New Property Category), the Workflow Filtering drop-down was slow to load and showed duplicate values. This is fixed.

EW-2627: Exports were missing members and properties for OneStream extended dimensions

In the Export module, extended dimensions in OneStream applications had these problems when a top member was configured:

  • On the Export Details screen, the Top Member Name list showed only members of the extended dimension, not members of its parent dimensions. For example, for CaliforniaAccounts, an extended dimension of CorpAccounts, the list didn't include CorpAccounts members.
  • Exports left out member properties for members that belong to the parent dimension, and for shared members in the extended dimension.

The Top Member Name list now includes members of the dimension and its parent dimensions, and exports include these member properties.

EW-2635: HFM deployments included custom properties whose Deploy flag was off

HFM deployments could include custom properties that aren't standard HFM application properties, even when their Deploy flag was unchecked. Deployments now leave out any property whose Deploy flag is unchecked.

When you add a custom property, decide whether it should be deployed and set its Deploy flag accordingly. This applies to all application types.

EW-2636: Migration imports cleared metadata audit history

When a dimension's metadata was replaced with the Replace option on the Migration module's Import tab, the metadata audit tables were cleared, so members lost the audit trails from their completed requests. Audit history is now preserved.

EW-2637: Line-level approval failed when the security group was <REQUESTOR>

In a workflow with a Review/Approve stage whose security group is <REQUESTOR> at the task level, the requestor reviews or approves that stage, often to verify deployment in the target applications. When the requestor approved an individual request line instead of using mass approve, the approval failed with a user-defined exception. Line-level approval now works.

EW-2638: Due Date and Description could be edited on closed requests

The Request Due Date and Description fields could still be edited after a request was completed or canceled. They're now read-only once a request is closed, like the rest of the request, such as activity log edits and attachments.

EW-2640: Drilling from request lines failed for extended dimensions

For extended dimensions, both Entity and non-Entity, drilling from the request lines table to a member didn't work for some hierarchy actions, such as Insert Shared Member and Remove Shared Member. This is fixed.

EW-2644: Canceling or deleting a request didn't restore all OneStream member formulas

If a OneStream member had more than one member formula (varying by Scenario Type and Time) and one was cleared in a request, canceling or deleting the entire request restored only one formula. All of the member's formulas are now restored to their state before the request.
