Highlights¶

This is a minor release containing new features and enhancements to existing features, and API additions. The features of this release were developed to enhance the design capabilities, performance, and improve ease of use of applications. System administrators and users will benefit from the enhancements across their application.

OneStream: Version 9.2 support, Exclusion Security Groups, and editing, moving, and creating members in extended dimensions
New API overload: update member properties by member name and parent member name
Compare reports: compare two dimensions in the same application
Monitors: Auto Refresh in the Migration Monitor and full message text in the ERP Import Monitor
Fixes: multi-environment deployment after an edit and rename, large member formulas, ORA-06502 in the Sync Report, and Pre-Export Logic Scripts on shared nodes

Enhancements¶

EW-2443: Auto Refresh in Migration Monitor¶

Added Auto Refresh functionality to the Migration Monitor screen, similar to the functionality available in the Reports and Export monitors.

EW-2453: Show Full Message Text in ERP Import Monitor¶

If the Message column contains text longer than the displayed width, the full message is now shown when users hover over the record.

EW-2464: Reset Inherited Dimension Properties in OneStream¶

When metadata is cleared at the application level in OneStream, the following properties must also be reset to allow correct detection of dimension relationships during re-import:

INHERITED_DIM
INHERITED_DIM_LIST

This behavior has been implemented.

EW-2470: Automatically Refresh Application LOV¶

When a new application is created and the user navigates to the Properties tab, the Application LOV did not refresh automatically.

Users previously had to refresh the entire page.

The LOV now refreshes automatically when navigating to the tab.

EW-2481: New API Parameter for Updating Member Properties¶

The existing API in package EW_REQ_API required Hierarchy ID values when updating member properties.

A new API overload now allows users to pass member names and parent member names instead.

This API will create a request line automatically if the member is not already in Edit action.

EW-2485: Edit Member Properties in OneStream Extended Dimensions¶

Users can now edit properties for extended members in Entity-class extended dimensions.

Previously, operations such as Delete or Rename were restricted.

Example scenario:

Entity Dimension Class includes ConsolidatedSM
Members originate from source dimensions (e.g., InPatient, OutPatient)

Users can now edit properties such as:

Description (Alias type)
Currency
Member formulas

Property updates correctly synchronize with the source dimension member.

EW-2486: Compare Reports Support Same Application Dimensions¶

The following reports now support comparisons between two dimensions within the same application:

Compare Members Report
Compare Hierarchies Report

Previously, comparisons required two different applications.

EW-2488: Allow Moving Extended Members Under Local Parent Members¶

The Move Member action is now allowed in extended Entity dimensions when:

The member being moved is an extended member
The source parent and target parent are local members

Bulk Upload supports the same operation.

Deleting the request line restores the original hierarchy structure.

EW-2499: OneStream Version 9.2 Support¶

EPMware now supports OneStream Version 9.2.

Notify EPMware when upgrading so adapter updates can be applied if required.

EW-2506: Support for OneStream Exclusion Security Groups¶

Support has been added for Exclusion Security Groups in OneStream.

Updates include:

Application Import processing for Exclusion Groups
Member security properties supporting Exclusion Groups
Deployment of Exclusion Security Group assignments

Note: This feature requires updated integration DLLs (separate DLLs for OneStream 8.x and 9.x).

EW-2516: Allow Member Creation Under Root Node in Extended Dimensions¶

Previously, creating a member directly under the root node in an extended dimension caused deployment failures.

This issue has been resolved, and member creation under the root node is now supported.

Fixed Issues¶

EW-2423: Reports Do Not Prompt for Required Text Parameters¶

Reports did not prompt users to provide values for parameters of type Text when those parameters were flagged as Required.

Example:

Report: Global Metadata Search

Parameter: Search Text

The parameter is flagged as required, but users were able to submit the report without providing a value.

The Request Attachment popup displayed the current date instead of the actual date when the file was attached.

This issue has been corrected.

When importing lookups using a CSV file, long lookup names caused the popup to wrap text onto multiple lines.

The popup size has been increased to better accommodate longer lookup names and improve usability.

EW-2487: Compare Member Properties Report Adds Unnecessary Rows¶

For properties such as Percent Ownership and Percent Consolidation, the fractional component (e.g., .00) is normally removed during processing.

In some cases this step did not execute correctly, causing the fractional value to remain. As a result, the Compare Member Properties report incorrectly detected differences and inserted unnecessary rows.

Root Cause: The logic used to detect fractional values (LIKE '%.00') did not properly handle all cases, particularly when .00 appeared within the string.

This issue has been fixed.

EW-2497: ORA-06502 Error in Sync Report and Request Page¶

A client reported an ORA-06502 Numeric or Value Error occurring in two scenarios:

While running the Sync Report
When removing a property value on the Request Page

Example:

Property Text2 (String type, "vary by dimension – text") had values exceeding 2500 characters, which triggered the error.

This issue has been resolved.

EW-2498: Deployment Failure When Member Edited and Renamed in Same Request¶

Deployment failures occurred in multi-environment deployments when the following conditions were met:

Workflow includes multi-environment deployments (e.g., UAT → PROD)
Deployments occur at the line level (Essbase / OneStream)
A member is edited first and then renamed within the same request

Observed Behavior:

Deployment to UAT succeeds
Deployment to PROD fails

Cause: The deployment process incorrectly assumed the member had already been renamed in PROD after the UAT deployment and attempted to use the new name instead of the original member name.

This logic has been corrected.

EW-2500: Errors After Saving Large Member Formula¶

Two issues were identified:

Issue 1: Saving a long formula (~60,000 characters) using the Save button resulted in an unknown error.

Example reference: Request ID 1125 in the Dev environment

Issue 2: After the error popup appeared, selecting another member triggered the "Unsaved Changes" popup twice.

Both issues have been resolved.

EW-2505: Pre-Export Logic Script Uses Primary Node Property Value¶

In certain export scenarios where Pre-Export Logic Scripts run at the node level, the script incorrectly retrieved property values from the primary node when the shared node had no property record.

Example Scenario:

Primary node property value = Y
Shared node has no property record

The export logic evaluated the primary node property and incorrectly included the shared node in the export output.

This issue has been fixed in the Logic Script engine so the correct node context is evaluated.
