Highlights¶

This is a minor release containing new features and enhancements to existing features, and API additions. The features of this release were developed to enhance the design capabilities, performance, and improve ease of use of applications. System administrators and users will benefit from the enhancements across their application.

Request lines: delete several selected lines at once
PBCS: optional Admin Mode during deployment
New API: update multiple member properties in one call
Logic scripts: option to run Post Hierarchy Action scripts after Dimension Mapping
OneStream: faster Application Import, members named the same as their dimension, and a default Scenario for member formulas
Fixes: dimension-specific property categories, exports that mix shared and primary configurations, and moving multiple shared members

EW-2393: Updated Help Links to MKDocs Documentation¶

All Help lookup links have been updated to point to the new MKDocs-based documentation URLs.

Enhancements¶

EW-2389: Selective Deletion of Request Lines¶

Users can now delete multiple selected request lines instead of only deleting one line at a time or all lines.

This significantly improves usability for large requests (e.g., thousands of lines).

EW-2440: Show Application Import Files in Configuration Screen¶

Added functionality to display files used during Application Import in the Application Configuration screen.

Details:

Displays files from EW_FILES_ARCHIVE
Sorted by FILE_ID (descending)
Columns include:
- ID
- Import Date
- File Name (clickable for download)

EW-2501: PBCS Deployment Admin Mode Support¶

Added a new Application Property:

PBCS_DEPLOY_ADMIN_MODE (Default = N)

When enabled:

PBCS application is switched to Admin Mode before deployment
All non-admin users are logged out
After deployment (success or failure), the system is returned to All Users mode

This ensures consistency during metadata deployments.

EW-2502: Default Scenario and Time Values for OneStream Member Formula¶

When clearing a member formula in OneStream, the system previously allowed saving without selecting a Scenario, leading to invalid states.

Fix: The system now enforces valid Scenario selection or assigns a default value automatically.

EW-2519: New API to Update Multiple Member Properties¶

Added a new API in the EW_REQ_API package to update multiple properties in a single call, improving performance.

Key Feature:

Accepts a list of property-value pairs
Option to create request lines only when values change

EW-2520: Support Member Names Matching Dimension Names (OneStream)¶

Users can now create members with the same name as the dimension, which is supported by OneStream but was previously restricted in EPMware.

EW-2522: Member Description Not Displayed in Metadata Explorer Search¶

Fixed an issue where member descriptions were not shown when searching by property values in the Metadata Explorer.

EW-2524: Configurable Execution Timing for Post Hierarchy Action Logic Scripts¶

Added a new configuration option:

Label: Execute After Dimension Mapping
Type: Checkbox
Default: N

This allows users to control whether Post Hierarchy Action Logic Scripts execute:

Immediately after the action, or
After Dimension Mapping is completed

This improves automation scenarios involving dependent applications.

EW-2526: Performance Improvement for OneStream Application Import¶

Improved performance of Application Import for OneStream applications, particularly for large metadata volumes and repeated import cycles.

EW-2528: HFM Security Class Deployment File Extension Fix¶

Updated deployment logic to use the correct .sec file extension for HFM Security Class deployments (required for version 11.2 and later).

This ensures successful deployment of security class metadata.

EW-2516: Allow Member Creation Under Root Node in Extended Dimensions¶

Previously, creating a member directly under the root node in an extended dimension caused deployment failures.

This issue has been resolved, and member creation under the root node is now supported.

Fixed Issues¶

EW-2479: Property Assignment Issue for Dimension-Specific Categories¶

Properties can be assigned either at the dimension class level (all dimensions) or to a specific dimension.

When assigning properties to a property category configured for a specific dimension, properties assigned to "All Dimensions" were not displayed.

Expected Behavior:

Category = All Dimensions → Show all properties
Category = Specific Dimension → Show:
- Properties assigned to all dimensions
- Properties assigned to that specific dimension
- Exclude properties assigned to other specific dimensions

This issue has been corrected.

EW-2521: ORA Error During Export with Mixed Shared and Primary Configurations¶

An ORA error occurred when an export included multiple export detail records for the same dimension with conflicting configurations for Shared Members.

Scenario:

One export detail includes shared members
Another excludes shared members
Both reference different top members

Fix: Export logic has been updated to correctly handle mixed configurations.

EW-2525: Bulk Upload Validation Errors for Reorder Action with Shared Members¶

Bulk Upload incorrectly threw validation errors when reordering child members that included shared instances.

This restriction has been removed, and reordering now supports shared members correctly.

EW-2527: Multiple Shared Member Move Issues¶

When moving multiple shared members using Paste as Child:

Only the first member was placed correctly
Subsequent members were placed incorrectly or caused errors
In some cases, the error "Hierarchy ID passed is NULL" was thrown

This issue has been resolved.
